Q: How long have you been volunteering at NABC?
A: I started working on fundraising as a volunteer in February, 2010.
Q: What motivated you to volunteer at NABC?
A: When Hope was born I saw the debt thermometer on the NABC webpage. I really wanted to help Dr. Rogers realize his dream. His commitment to providing research and education about black bears is such a great cause.
Q: What do you do as a volunteer?
A: My initial involvement with the NABC was grassroots fundraising with a few other volunteers. As time went on the focus of the group became clearer and more efficient. We are now the Lily’s FUNdraising Team. I am also on the Bear Facts and Fun Team where part of my involvement is welcoming new members. Both of these activities are very rewarding. I also do other short term activities throughout the year.
Q: Is there one memorable experience you've had as a volunteer?
A: The best experience is knowing the part I was able to play in helping with decreasing the debt for the NABC.
Q: What would you like volunteers to know about you?
A: . I have three grandchildren now and one on the way! I am committed to helping the NABC/WRI.
